The Tone:

This role is crucial for supporting the North America Finance team, offering hands-on experience in corporate finance operations through accounting, reporting, compliance, and project controlling activities, with exposure to international collaboration. The intern will contribute to financial accuracy and operational efficiency within a global framework.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Temporary (30-40 hours/week, minimum 6 months)
• Location: In-person – United States

• Team: North America Finance team, collaborating across United States, Germany, Hungary, India, and Mexico.
• Mission: Support the North America Finance team by providing essential accounting, reporting, and compliance assistance to maintain accurate financial operations.
• Tech Stack: SAP, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office applications, other financial systems, ERP systems

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage accounts payable and receivable operations, including invoice processing, customer billing, payment follow-ups, and collection activities.
• Execute general ledger activities by preparing and posting journal entries in SAP, ensuring financial transaction accuracy and proper documentation.
• Monitor project financial health by tracking project costs, purchase orders, and commitments, then preparing cost reports and variance analyses.
• Contribute to financial close processes, supporting month-end and year-end activities, bank reconciliations, and treasury inquiries.
• Ensure compliance by organizing and gathering supporting documentation for audits, customs duties, tax filings, and regulatory requirements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a master’s degree or possessing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, coupled with a basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience: This is an entry-level internship; no prior professional experience is required.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with careful attention to detail; clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Bonus: Prior exposure to SAP, ERP systems, accounts payable, project controlling, or financial analysis.
