This role is crucial for generating essential market, consumer, competitor, and trends insights specifically for the Greater China market, directly influencing brand strategy and supporting key product and marketing initiatives.

• Team: Works within the Data Team, reporting to a leader, and collaborates with various GCA and Global teams.
• Mission: To generate comprehensive market, consumer, competitor, and trend insights to support Adidas’ brand strategy and marketing efforts in the Greater China market.
• Tech Stack: Outlook (basic), Word (advanced), Excel (advanced), PowerPoint (advanced)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Planning: Develop and regularly update the annual marketing research plan for Greater China, aligning with Adidas’ marketing strategies and Sport Performance product needs, and initiating projects based on management’s strategic direction.
• Insight Project Management: Lead and oversee diverse consulting and research projects, including brand image and competency tracking, consumer satisfaction, market intelligence, product launch tests, and consumer market size/share research, to support Adidas brand building and strategy development.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Facilitate seamless project execution by coordinating with external agencies and internal departments, ensuring timely communications and deliverables, and implementing improvements based on project evaluations.
• Financial Stewardship: Design and manage the research budget proposal, maximizing resource allocation while ensuring ethical use and accurate, timely financial reporting to the Finance Department.
• Performance Evaluation & Reporting: Evaluate completed projects to identify improvements for future planning and implementation, and contribute high-quality data analysis and strategic insights for overall business impact.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related discipline. Core domain knowledge in marketing research, preferably within a research firm or a brand company.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven marketing research experience, ideally gained at a research firm or a brand focused on sportswear, apparel, or FMCG.
• Skills: Strong data analysis and planning abilities; effective communication and relationship management skills; advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Bonus: Fluency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin (native Mandarin Chinese preferred); basic sales and customer service knowledge; exposure to sports, marketing, or trade marketing.
