Trainee Program Manager (Bilingual Mandarin) | NOVEL PREP

The Tone:
This is a developmental role at NOVEL PREP, designed for individuals interested in building a long-term career in program and operations management. NOVEL PREP is seeking a Program Manager Trainee who is motivated, organized, and proactive, with the potential to grow into an independent project owner and future management team member. This position is crucial for providing essential support in daily operations, project coordination, and administrative tasks, ensuring efficiency and progress across various initiatives within the organization. As capabilities develop, this role will gradually assume greater responsibility, contributing significantly to the company’s operational excellence and strategic growth.

The TL;DR

• Team: Reports to a Manager.
• Mission: To develop capabilities in program and operations management, evolving into an independent project owner and future management team member.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar productivity tools.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support Operations: Provide day-to-day assistance to the Manager across various program and operational activities, learning internal workflows and management processes.
• Coordinate Projects: Assist with the coordination of projects, including scheduling, documentation, and diligent task follow-up, ensuring all timelines and deadlines are tracked.
• Facilitate Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments and team members to ensure efficient project advancement and resolution of operational issues.
• Organize Information: Systematically manage and organize project-related information, documents, reports, and other critical operational materials for easy access and reference.
• Develop Processes: Assist in the identification of operational inefficiencies and potential risks, proposing and implementing improvements for SOPs, workflows, and tracking systems, while gradually taking ownership of assigned projects from planning to completion.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level candidates and recent graduates with a Bachelor’s degree preferred, demonstrating strong potential for growth.
• Experience: Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar productivity tools for daily tasks and project management.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong organizational abilities and excellent time-management skills; keen attention to detail and capability to manage multiple priorities effectively; strong written and verbal communication skills; a proactive attitude with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership; robust problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Bonus: A genuine interest in developing a long-term professional career in program management, operations, or broader management roles.
