• Team: Part of an operations team, working under general supervision to manage drivers and freight.
• Mission: To learn and apply management principles to ensure safe, timely, and compliant freight movement while providing excellent customer service.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Relationship Management: Foster strong professional relationships with drivers and reliable outside carriers to streamline operations and maximize productivity.
• Operational Support: Provide coverage for absent personnel and actively contribute to special projects aimed at optimizing fleet efficiency and achieving profitability.
• Personnel Development: Acquire skills in training and orienting drivers and employees, including assistance with internal and customer-specific systems.
• Performance Optimization: Become proficient in maximizing fleet operational efficiency and profitability, making recommendations for continuous improvement, and presenting customer-specific reports.
• Freight Management: Learn to assign loads, plan routes, and monitor freight movement to ensure safe, on-time service and customer satisfaction, managing exceptions and schedule adjustments.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level management professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field; OR a High School Diploma/GED combined with 1 year of experience in management, transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, or military equivalent.
• Experience: Willingness to regionally relocate based on account assignment, ability to travel to various account, customer, and company event locations when needed, and capacity to work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
• Skills: Foundational understanding of freight planning and routing, basic administrative and financial report analysis (e.g., payroll, P&L), principles of DOT compliance and company safety culture, and customer service resolution.
• Bonus: Prior experience managing a team, strong aptitude for anticipating and resolving conflicts, ability to adapt quickly to changing environments, and demonstrated skill in building and maintaining healthy professional relationships.
