The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Mashreq, a prominent financial institution with a strong presence in Private Banking. The company provides comprehensive banking and wealth management services to its high-net-worth clients. This position is vital for driving strategic business planning, ensuring robust performance management, and overseeing portfolio dynamics within the Private Banking segment to achieve business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.

The TL;DR

• Mission: To optimize business planning, performance, and portfolio management within Private Banking, ensuring strategic alignment and operational effectiveness.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Planning & Reporting: Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking for Private Banking, including cost allocations and headcount management.
• Performance Management: Implement and monitor comprehensive scorecards, incentive plans, and sales governance for all Private Banking roles in alignment with segment vision.
• Portfolio Management: Oversee the accurate mapping and management of client portfolios to Relationship Managers, handling re-tagging, upgrades, downgrades, and allocations during RM changes.
• Financial Analysis & Payouts: Analyze monthly financials, identify gaps, create simulation scenarios, and ensure timely and accurate payout of incentives and retrocessions to frontlines.
• External Asset Manager Governance: Manage the governance framework for External Asset Manager (EAM) and Intermediary desks, encompassing SOPs, agreements, revenue tracking, and performance reviews.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Post Graduate with a strong understanding of P&L and client life cycle management within the banking sector.
• Experience: Minimum of 12+ years of experience with one or more mainstream banks.
• Skills: Outstanding knowledge of systems including Macros, SQL, and BI, coupled with excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
