The Tone:

This role is crucial for managing the bank’s core payment applications, driving strategic alignment with business objectives, and ensuring the delivery of compliant, high-quality, and world-class payment solutions.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: In-person India (Karnataka) – Bengaluru
• Team: Leads a diversified, multi-disciplinary team of onshore, offshore, and vendor resources responsible for payment application support and project deliveries.
• Mission: Manages the critical applications of the bank’s payments processing platform to ensure product roadmap and process improvements.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Platform Management: Manage the bank’s critical payment processing applications, aligning product roadmaps, industry trends, and strategic vendor partnerships to meet business objectives and ensure continuous process improvements and global platform solutions.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, guide, and mentor a diversified, cross-border team of onshore, offshore, and vendor professionals, fostering cross-functional expertise, ensuring high-quality delivery, and motivating the team in the payments platforms area.
• Project & Initiative Delivery: Drive the assessment and delivery of system enhancements and projects, acting as a key escalation point and ensuring all initiatives align with business objectives and adhere to defined quality management practices.
• Operational Governance & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with change management, test, and release management disciplines for all deliverables, oversee problem and incident management, and establish controls to prevent recurrence of incidents.
• Business Requirement & Solution Design: Review, evaluate, and analyze business requirements against existing and proposed systems, manage the creation of solution documentation (e.g., SRS), and provide functional expertise to project and development teams.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Post Graduate Engineer with deep domain knowledge in banking, including core banking, payments, General Ledger, Loans, and Trade Finance.
• Experience: 12-14 years in project and program management within financial services, with at least 2-3 years in team management and program implementation. Proven hands-on experience with Core Banking systems, specifically FLEXCUBE, including implementation.
• Skills: Strong project and program management, banking operations and domain knowledge, SDLC process expertise, and effective cross-border stakeholder and team management.
• Bonus: Experience in banking production support and exposure to manual testing of banking software applications.
