What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategy: Develop and maintain a multi-year global enterprise software category strategy that aligns with technology roadmaps and business priorities, ensuring objectives are met through value creation initiatives.
• Sourcing: Lead high-value sourcing initiatives across the enterprise software portfolio by developing strategies that balance cost, risk, resilience, performance, and innovation.
• Partnerships: Establish executive-level relationships with key enterprise software suppliers by developing segmentation plans, conducting business reviews, and driving accountability against contractual commitments.
• Collaboration: Partner with Cloud Engineering, Network Architecture, Operations, and Cybersecurity stakeholders to influence technology planning and demand management activities, translating business requirements into effective sourcing strategies.
• Governance: Drive category governance by ensuring alignment with risk resilience and regulatory requirements, collaborating with Legal, Risk Compliance, Information Security, and Third Party Risk functions to support supplier risk assessments.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Technology, or a related discipline, demonstrating a Director-level understanding of technology procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
• Experience: Minimum 12 years’ experience in technology procurement or category management, including direct involvement in supporting cloud transformation programmes and managing complex sourcing initiatives and negotiations with major technology suppliers.
• Skills: Strong commercial, financial, and contractual expertise to optimize total cost of ownership while maintaining compliance, coupled with excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills for influencing senior stakeholders and building trust.
• Bonus: Experience within the financial services industry and professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or CPSD are highly desirable.
