This is a full-time, on-site role with Intuit, located in Anaheim, California. Intuit focuses on delivering accurate, compliant tax preparation and exceptional client service for individuals and small businesses. This role is critical for ensuring clients receive expert tax advice and support, helping them confidently navigate tax filing and prosper through Intuit’s products. The Tax Accountant will be a direct point of contact, ensuring compliance and providing valuable financial education.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Preparation: Prepare and review individual and small business tax returns for retail clients utilizing Intuit platforms.
• Regulatory Compliance: Analyze financial records to ensure adherence to current federal and state tax regulations.
• Client Advising: Provide in-person tax advice, explain various filing options, and identify applicable credits and deductions for customers.
• Research and Knowledge: Research complex tax issues and maintain current knowledge of evolving tax laws and regulations.
• Operational Support: Support peak tax season operations in a retail setting, which includes extended and weekend hours, and educate customers on Intuit products.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional with foundational knowledge in individual and small business tax preparation, specifically concerning U.S. federal and state tax laws.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in individual and small business tax preparation, financial statement review, and general ledger review. Experience must include proficiency with Intuit tax software and Excel, along with prior retail or face-to-face client consultation and communication.
• Skills: Individual and small business tax preparation, U.S. federal and state tax law knowledge, Tax research and issue resolution, Proficiency with Intuit tax software and Excel, Client consultation and communication.
