This Staff Accountant position is pivotal for applying core accounting principles, ensuring the precision of financial records, diligently managing client accounts, and accurately processing all payments. What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Reporting: Prepare, analyze, review, and dispatch all required client reports to ensure timely and accurate communication.
• Account Oversight: Maintain client accounts by consistently verifying that all funds have been properly pushed and pulled, ensuring financial compliance.
• Financial System Integrity: Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness, supervising the input and handling of financial data for the company’s automated systems.
• Payment Processing & Resolution: Research, review, and accurately apply all incoming consumer payments promptly, while also taking responsibility for resolving identified accounting discrepancies.
• Discretionary Management & Communication: Exercise discretion and independent judgment on matters of significance, manage checks with unresolved issues, and ensure management is always informed of any developments, issues, concerns, or questions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An Early Career professional possessing a Bachelor’s degree, prepared to apply fundamental principles of accounting.
• Experience: Demonstrated competency in utilizing basic office hardware, including scanners, fax machines, and copiers. Must also possess a typing speed of 50+ words-per-minute.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook; a meticulous attention to detail coupled with the ability to effectively multi-task; a quick learning aptitude with good written and problem-solving skills; and a dependable work ethic with a commitment to providing quality service, capable of working both independently and within a team environment.
