2027 Audit Summer Internship – Connecticut | UHY-US

The Tone:
This is a temporary summer internship at UHY-US, located in Connecticut. UHY is one of the nation’s largest professional services firms providing audit, tax, consulting, and advisory services to clients primarily in the middle market. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of audit and assurance, directly contributing to the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for a diverse clientele.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $24–$27 hourly

What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaborate: Collaborate with audit teams on tasks such as data entry, documentation preparation, and basic analysis of financial information.
• Assist: Assist in conducting audit procedures, including substantive testing and control testing.
• Maintain: Support the maintenance of audit files and documentation, ensuring they are accurate, organized, and compliant with firm standards.
• Prepare: Assist in the preparation of workpapers and audit reports.
• Compile: Assist in compiling financial data, transactions, and other relevant information for audit analysis.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; High School Diploma or GED or High School equivalent certificate.
• Experience: 0–1 year of relevant experience.
• Skills: Attention to detail, effective communication, strong work ethic, professionalism, and a commitment to learning.
• Bonus: Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
