Spring 2027 Accounts Payable Co-op (January-June) | MFS Investment Management
The Tone:
This is a 6-month co-op position at MFS Investment Management, located in a hybrid work environment in Boston, MA. MFS is a global investment management firm that pioneered the mutual fund, focused on creating long-term value responsibly for its clients. This role supports the daily operations of Treasury Operations, contributing to the accurate and efficient financial processes that underpin the firm’s success within the asset management industry.
The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: 6-month commitment, Monday–Friday, 35–40 hours (January 13th – June 25th, 2027)
• Location: Hybrid – Boston, MA
• Pay: $21.00–$25.00 hourly
• Team: Treasury Operations
• Mission: Plays a supportive role in performing the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices.
• Tech Stack: PeopleSoft A/P, PaperVision, MS Word, Excel, other database programs
What You’ll Actually Do
• Invoice Processing: Work closely with Accounts Payable personnel to process vendor invoices for payment.
• Data Management: Perform data input into the PeopleSoft A/P system for payment generation and execute account coding of A/P vouchers.
• Voucher Review: Review A/P voucher data input for the department and prepare vouchers for imaging.
• Inquiry Resolution: Research outstanding vendor invoices and assist with vendor and employee inquiries.
• Project & Purchasing Collaboration: Support Corporate Purchasing as appropriate and play an active role in special projects as needed.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Undergraduate student currently enrolled in a co-op program through their college or university, seeking a meaningful work experience as part of their academic studies.
• Experience: No specific prior experience required, but participants will gain relevant work experience and an understanding of corporate finance within an asset manager.
• Skills: Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task to meet deadlines, strong interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and/or other database programs.
