Data Platform Delivery Director | NXP Semiconductors

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at NXP Semiconductors, located in the United States. This role is critical for building and leading the delivery system that transforms NXP’s enterprise data foundations into trusted, reusable Gold data products. The Director will orchestrate multi-team delivery, ensuring data products function as a cohesive enterprise data ecosystem rather than isolated solutions. This leadership position is central to evolving NXP’s One Data Platform and its connecting operating model.

• Mission: Build and lead the delivery system that turns NXP enterprise data foundations into trusted, reusable Gold data products, ensuring predictable delivery and enterprise-wide harmonization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead: Provide leadership for approximately six delivery teams covering the Foundation data layer, platform services, data engineering, data management, and operations.
• Establish: Design and operationalize a hub-and-spoke model where the central Foundation organization provides reusable capabilities to business-domain Gold teams.
• Harmonize: Own the cross-domain harmonization process to ensure Gold data products are consistent and interoperable across various business domains.
• Integrate: Define and manage the release interface and integrated roadmap between Foundation capabilities and Gold data products.
• Evolve: Lead the deployment and evolution of NXP’s One Data Platform, while enabling enterprise data management, marketplace, and governance capabilities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, demonstrating leadership in data or platform delivery.
• Experience: 10-15 years of relevant experience, including leadership of multiple data, platform, software, or product delivery teams in a complex global enterprise, with proven ability to coordinate federated teams (30+ professionals).
• Skills: Strong knowledge of modern enterprise data platforms, cloud data architecture, Data Mesh, data products, metadata, lineage, data quality, semantic models, CI/CD, and platform operations; ability to define and operate product and release models across foundational and consumption layers; skill in resolving cross-domain data definition and design conflicts.
• Bonus: Semiconductor industry experience.
