Ready-mix Management Associate | Martin Marietta
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Martin Marietta. Martin Marietta is an American-based company and a leading supplier of heavy building materials, including aggregates, cement, ready-mixed concrete, and asphalt. They also produce high-purity magnesia and dolomitic lime products used worldwide in environmental, industrial, agricultural, and specialty applications. This structured 18-to-24-month development program is designed to build future supervisory and management leaders by providing comprehensive understanding of the ready-mix business and developing essential leadership, technical, and business competencies.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations: Learn and actively participate in all aspects of ready-mix concrete production and plant operations across multiple facilities.
• Coordination: Assist in coordinating daily production activities to ensure product availability and meet customer service requirements.
• Quality: Support batching operations and collaborate with quality control personnel to ensure products meet approved mix designs and quality standards.
• Improvement: Monitor plant performance, analyze production workflows, and participate in initiatives to identify and implement productivity and efficiency improvements.
• Leadership: Gain exposure to workforce management, employee engagement, and supervisory responsibilities through direct interaction with employees, customers, and partners.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management; Entry-Level career.
• Experience: No prior work experience is required.
• Skills: Effective communication (written & spoken), Proficient computer skills (MS Word & Excel), Time management.
• Bonus: Familiarity with the Ready-Mix industry, knowledge of OSHA compliance and regulations, or 6 months – 1 year of industry related internships or a combination of internships and ready-mix work experience.
