This is a full-time internship at Plante Moran, with hybrid opportunities across offices in Colorado, Illinois, Ohio, and Massachusetts. What You’ll Actually Do
• Contribute: Participate in different phases of audit and/or tax engagements, including planning, testing, researching, and reporting.
• Support: Work with audits, compilations, reviews, compliance, financial statements, and benefit plans.
• Engage: Handle corporate, partnership, individual, international federal, and state & local taxes.
• Interact: Engage in meaningful interactions with staff at all levels and with an impressive repertoire of clients.
• Develop: Gain experience working with a wealth of business opportunities throughout a professional services firm.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting, or a Master’s degree in accounting or tax.
• Experience: On track to complete the requisite degree and supporting credits to sit for the CPA exam, with the goal of successfully obtaining a CPA license; minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Skills: Fluent in Japanese and English (written and verbal); understanding of Japanese business culture; detail-oriented leadership with strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
