Senior Director, Investor Relations | Lumen Technologies

• Team: Reports to CEO/CFO, leads the Investor Relations function
• Mission: Translate technology roadmap, software and platform capabilities, business strategy, and financial performance into a compelling investment thesis that strengthens investor confidence and supports long-term shareholder value creation.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop and execute the company’s investor relations strategy and external financial narrative, ensuring clear understanding of strategy and performance.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, CFO, and Board of Directors on investor sentiment, market dynamics, and capital allocation perspectives.
• Develop and execute a proactive investor targeting strategy, building strong relationships with technology and software sector investors, analysts, and rating agencies.
• Gather, analyze, and synthesize market intelligence, including investor feedback and peer performance, translating insights into actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Lead the company’s investor-facing communications and engagement, including quarterly earnings materials, investor presentations, conferences, and roadshows.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience: 12+ years of progressive experience in Investor Relations, Finance, Treasury, Equity Research, Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Strategy, or a related capital markets discipline, with significant experience supporting enterprise software, cloud/SaaS, digital infrastructure, or high-tech publicly traded companies. Includes 5+ years of leadership experience within Investor Relations, Finance, Capital Markets, or a related function, with direct involvement in earnings and public disclosures.
• Skills: Deep understanding of capital markets, valuation methodologies, financial statements, performance metrics, and investor expectations. Strong knowledge of SEC regulations, Regulation FD, disclosure requirements, and securities laws. Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills, with proven ability to establish credibility and influence with investors, analysts, executive leadership, and Boards.
• Bonus: MBA, CFA, CPA, or other relevant advanced degree or professional designation. Experience leading Investor Relations for a publicly traded company, particularly within telecommunications, technology, or infrastructure industries. Experience supporting significant strategic transactions or major enterprise transformation initiatives, with established relationships in the institutional investor and sell-side analyst community.
