Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A (Corporate Functions) | Fannie Mae
The Tone:
This is a full-time hybrid role at Fannie Mae, with a designated office location. • Pay: $85000–$110000 yearly
• Team: Corporate Functions CFO – Financial Planning and Analysis – Senior Associate
• Mission: This person collects, analyzes, and interprets financial or operational information to identify gaps, opportunities, and support strategic decision-making within corporate functions.
• Tech Stack: Anaplan, or similar financial planning tools
What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting & Planning: Perform budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and prepare comprehensive financial reports, including Profit & Loss (P&L) Statements.
• Data Management & Integrity: Coordinate and collect financial input data from various departments, perform financial data integrity checks, and summarize or convert financial data.
• Advanced Financial Analysis: Conduct stress testing using modeled outputs, source data, and provide analytics supporting the business on ad-hoc analyses and board reporting.
• Strategic Business Insight: Source and analyze data for business analytics, including scenario, attribution, what-if, time series trending, drill-down, and break-even analysis to identify business drivers.
• Asset & Debt Valuation: Value assets by assessing current conditions with direction from senior leadership and recommend appropriate debt structures by analyzing refinancing options.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor degree or equivalent; experience in financial planning and analysis within corporate functions.
• Experience: 2 years of experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting processes; experience analyzing large datasets and translating insights into actionable recommendations for business leaders; experience developing financial models, scenario analyses, and business cases to support decision-making; experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to collect, validate, and reconcile financial and operational data.
• Skills: Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis; financial modeling and scenario analysis; data analysis and interpretation; financial reporting and statement preparation; cross-functional stakeholder collaboration; curiosity and adaptability in applying new technologies.
• Bonus: Experience preparing executive-level presentations, dashboards, and financial summaries; experience with financial planning systems such as Anaplan or similar tools.
