Finance Office Associate – Part Time | Corinthian Yacht Club

The Tone:
This is a part-time role at Corinthian Yacht Club, located in Marblehead, MA. The Corinthian Yacht Club has been a cornerstone of yachting, racing, and cruising for over 140 years, offering dining, social events, and an active sailing program as a private, member-focused club. This position is crucial for supporting the Club’s financial and administrative operations by maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with member account inquiries. It ensures smooth daily processes within the Finance Office.

The TL;DR

• Type: Part-time (approximately 25 hours/week active season, 15 hours/week off-season)
• Location: In-person Marblehead, MA
• Pay: $24–$26 hourly
• Mission: Support the Club’s financial and administrative operations by maintaining accurate records and assisting with member account inquiries.
• Tech Stack: financial software, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office applications

What You’ll Actually Do
• Record Deposits: Accurately post and record member and other financial deposits.
• Reconcile Transactions: Reconcile daily point-of-sale charges and review transactions for accuracy.
• Process Accounts: Assist with processing accounts payable, payroll, and accounts receivable.
• Support Members: Professionally respond to member questions about charges on monthly statements.
• Manage Documentation: Maintain accurate financial files, reports, and documentation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience using financial software, including accounts receivable billing, payroll processing, and accounts payable processing or management.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and other Microsoft Office applications; Strong organizational skills; Attention to detail; Effective verbal and written communication skills; Ability to manage multiple priorities accurately.
• Bonus: Prior experience in a private club, hospitality, nonprofit, or service-oriented organization.
