What You’ll Actually Do
• Perform: Execute audit, review, and compilation procedures for clients across various industries, including field work at client locations as necessary.
• Prepare: Create workpapers, financial statements, and audit reports, analyzing complex financial data using audit software programs, Word, and Excel.
• Analyze: Conduct schedule computations for accruals, property, and equipment, calculate depreciation expenses and long-term debt, and reconcile accounting information to control accounts.
• Assist: Contribute to client engagement planning and scheduling, proof financial statements, and perform financial analysis upon completion of fieldwork to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Attend: Participate in client engagement meetings to determine timelines and objectives, and attend training seminars, professional development, and networking events.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. This role is for an early-career professional with foundational knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles.
• Experience: 1-2 years of auditing experience gained within a public accounting setting.
• Skills: Demonstrates critical and analytical thinking abilities, communicates clearly in writing and verbally, and can work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities. Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), and various software packages.
• Bonus: Valid CPA license or actively working towards obtaining a CPA license is preferred. Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
