The Tone:
This is a 10-week, paid internship at Bristol Myers Squibb, located in the Princeton/Lawrenceville, NJ area. What You’ll Actually Do
• Budget Development: Develop operating budgets to support company operations and strategic initiatives.
• Resource Allocation: Allocate R&D portfolios to optimize investment in research and development projects.
• Financial Forecasting: Conduct financial forecasting for developmental compounds to predict future performance.
• Performance Analysis: Analyze operating performance to identify trends and inform business decisions.
• Risk Assessment: Execute internal audit projects focused on assessing financial risk, controls, and operational effectiveness.
• Capital Evaluation: Evaluate returns on capital expenditures to ensure efficient use of company resources.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be a currently enrolled first-year (1Y) MBA student at an accredited institution, on track to graduate in Spring/Summer 2028.
• Experience: Possess 1 to 3 years of prior work experience, demonstrating strong intellectual, financial, and analytical skills with the ability to quickly grasp new and complex concepts. Must have proven capability to effectively communicate within work or academic environments, adapting messages for various audiences, and the ability to influence others within a matrix organization.
• Skills: Demonstrate superior financial modeling skills, specifically in Excel, and the ability to quickly learn new financial/accounting software. Requires strong time management skills, including the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
