Accelerated Business Program (Human Resources) | Williams

The Tone:
This is an early career, accelerated program at Williams, an energy company dedicated to solving global energy challenges and maintaining critical energy infrastructure. The role is a 12-month development track designed for high-performing graduates to accelerate their development and make a meaningful impact within the human resources function. This position offers unparalleled exposure to the business and leadership, preparing participants to become strategic human resources business partners.

• Team: Human Resources function; will interact with cross-functional teams and senior leaders.
• Mission: Learn various aspects of the human resources function to solve complex business challenges and become a strategic human resources business partner across critical energy infrastructure.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint), data analytics, automation, business intelligence, AI, machine learning concepts, digital problem-solving capabilities, tools and technologies used to support business operations and decision-making.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Participate in Onboarding: Engage in a six-week intensive onboarding experience at corporate headquarters to build advanced professional, business, and technology capabilities.
• Develop HR Expertise: Transition into a human resources assignment in Tulsa, learning various aspects of the function to become a strategic business partner.
• Enhance Core Skills: Strengthen financial analysis, business planning, decision-making, risk management, communication, collaboration, leadership, and executive presence.
• Utilize Data and Tech: Develop capabilities in data analytics, automation, business intelligence, AI, and digital problem-solving, gaining proficiency in relevant tools and technologies.
• Live Company Values: Learn quickly, take ownership, deliver results, and embody Williams’ values of being collaborative, courageous, creative, and competitive.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR Management or a human resources or business-related field, with graduation in December 2026.
• Experience: This position is not eligible for sponsorship (including OPT/CPT), requires a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and includes willingness and ability to relocate within the United States as business needs require.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Bonus: Demonstrated initiative and willingness to take on stretch assignments, ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization, interest in digital transformation, data-driven decision-making, and innovation, and a commitment to safety, ethics, and operational excellence as core values.
