What You’ll Actually Do
• Perform auditing procedures: Execute substantive auditing procedures in assigned areas of work.
• Understand work objectives: Obtain a clear understanding of the work to be performed and its overarching purpose.
• Document findings: Prepare working papers that thoroughly document the tests performed and the procedures followed to substantiate conclusions reached.
• Apply principles: Remain vigilant for the proper and consistent application of accounting principles during all audit procedures.
• Identify issues: Pinpoint and document control deficiencies or any other matters that require the attention of management.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be enrolled as a student in an accredited college or university with a major in accounting.
• Experience: Familiarity with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Skills: Demonstrated written and oral communication, ability to work independently, ability to work as a team and cooperatively with others, and a high degree of discretion when handling confidential information.
