Tax Internship | Kimberly-Clark

The Tone:
This is a year-round internship with Kimberly-Clark, located in Neenah, Wisconsin, offering part-time and remote work during the school year and full-time, in-person engagement during the summer. • Mission: Assist Kimberly-Clark’s Tax Team Members with a range of federal and state income tax activities, including accounting, compliance, consulting, and defense, directly supporting the strategic business objectives of the company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Assist Kimberly-Clark’s Tax Team Members by performing all necessary activities to support daily tasks related to federal and state income tax accounting, compliance, consulting, and defense.
• Analyze: Compile and analyze diverse financial information to contribute to tax operations and support filing positions.
• Research: Conduct research and document tax filing positions, alongside performing detailed account reconciliations.
• Prepare: Aid in the preparation of various tax returns and provide essential administrative assistance to tax professionals.
• Develop: Lead an individual project within your assigned business unit, gain hands-on experience with impactful analyses, and interact with senior leaders and interns from other functions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled as a college student, pursuing a major in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field, demonstrating academic excellence with a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher.
• Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. For summer interns, the ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) from early June to late August is essential. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a regular, full-time and/or part-time basis now and in the future.
• Skills: Strong analytical abilities for compiling and analyzing financial information, effective communication for documenting findings and interacting with teams, and demonstrated leadership capabilities for project ownership.
