What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Testing: Complete audit testing on financial statement accounts, including cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets.
• Data Analysis: Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Report Drafting: Help draft management letter comments and assist with the audit report.
• Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level position for candidates actively working toward CPA Exam eligibility. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, as visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Expected satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework is required, along with maintaining a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0. Internships may be available in assurance, tax, or a combination of both disciplines depending on local office needs.
• Experience: Demonstrated effective time management skills and the ability to work under pressure and against deadlines. This role requires close attention to detail in all tasks. Interns must have reliable transportation to and from the assigned office, as well as the ability to attend off-site meetings and events in person.
• Skills: Possess solid technical accounting knowledge and strong oral and written communication abilities. Candidates should be capable of working effectively both within a team environment and independently, exhibiting a problem-solving attitude and a willingness to take initiative.
• Bonus: Strong computer skills are preferred, particularly proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
