Audit Intern – Summer 2027 | Sensiba LLP
The Tone:
This is an internship at Sensiba LLP, located in San Ramon, CA. Sensiba LLP offers an award-winning eight-week internship program designed to provide hands-on experience and develop technical and professional skills. This role supports the efficient execution of audit engagements, assisting in the evaluation, testing, and documentation of key business processes, internal controls, and financial data. Interns will build professional relationships and gain a foundational understanding of accounting principles and the industry, while delivering high-quality service and insight into clients’ accounting practices and compliance.

• Team: Reports to senior team members within the Audit Department.
• Mission: To support efficient audit engagements, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and building a foundational understanding of accounting principles and client practices.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Engagement Support: Assist in planning and executing audit engagements under the guidance of senior team members.
• Testing & Analysis: Conduct substantive testing and analytical procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Documentation: Prepare financial statements, internal controls, and other relevant audit documentation.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement and provide constructive recommendations.
• Evidence Preparation: Prepare workpapers and documentation to support audit findings.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major or emphasis in Accounting, with expected degree completion between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Experience: Entry-Level internship focused on gaining practical experience in financial statement audits and assurance services; must be CA CPA eligible.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical abilities, effective interpersonal skills, clear verbal and written communication.
• Bonus: A minimum accounting GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
