• Mission: Manages the strategic scheduling and optimal deployment of tax talent across client assignments to ensure efficiency and support career development.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas), AI tools
What You’ll Actually Do
• Schedule & Align Talent: Orchestrate the accurate scheduling of tax professionals to appropriate client assignments, considering timing, travel, levels, skills, and career goals, ensuring optimal alignment and regularly updating staff profiles.
• Utilize & Monitor Resources: Leverage scheduling tools effectively to forecast hours, diligently track utilization, and monitor overall headcount, chargeable hours, and overtime, ensuring work is distributed equitably.
• Proactive Problem Solving: Manage open needs by identifying viable solutions, anticipating potential conflicts in scheduling, and proactively generating ideas to surface alternative solutions before issues escalate.
• Data Analysis & Trends: Analyze resource data thoroughly and identify key trends around metrics such as staff availability, utilization rates, actual versus scheduled variance data, team leverage, and open needs to inform strategic decisions and capacity planning.
• Relationship Building & Collaboration: Build strong relationships with client-serving personnel at all levels and collaborate closely with other Internal Firm Services teams to innovate, educate, and promote consistent firm-wide talent deployment.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager level professional with a focus on talent alignment and resource management, typically within a professional services environment.
• Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel features such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and formulas. Demonstrated experience using AI tools to enhance efficiency, support data analysis, and improve productivity.
• Skills: Proficient use of Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis, application of AI tools for efficiency, strong data analysis, relationship building, and proactive problem-solving.
• Bonus: Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree, or a current and valid CPA or RMCP certification.
