What You’ll Actually Do
Close Process Support: Actively assist in the timely execution of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures, specifically contributing to journal entry preparation, comprehensive account reconciliations, accrual calculations, and essential financial analysis to ensure accurate period-end results.
General Ledger Management: Systematically maintain and reconcile various general ledger accounts, proactively identifying and diligently resolving any discrepancies or variances to uphold the integrity and accuracy of financial records.
Cash & Balance Sheet Operations: Provide critical support for daily cash management activities, meticulously process banking transactions, and perform thorough balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial stability and accurate reporting.
Financial Reporting & Compliance: Compile and prepare precise financial reports, detailed schedules, and comprehensive supporting documentation required for internal stakeholders and to facilitate efficient external audits, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Operational Excellence & Team Support: Research accounting issues, analyze variances, and recommend solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency, contribute to process improvement initiatives, strengthen internal controls, and provide backup support to the accounting team on special projects.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. This role is suitable for an early career professional seeking to develop their accounting expertise within a corporate finance environment.
• Experience: Requires at least one year of hands-on accounting experience. Prior experience within financial services, banking, or a corporate accounting environment is highly advantageous.
• Skills: Possess a strong foundational understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and fundamental accounting practices. Must demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the capability to effectively analyze and manipulate large datasets.
• Bonus: Practical experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as NetSuite, PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms. Exposure to reporting or data automation tools like Power Query, Alteryx, or Python is also a plus.
