Accounting & Finance Co-Op/Intern – Summer 2027 | The Mosaic Company
The Tone:
This is a full-time Co-Op/Internship at The Mosaic Company, located at the FishHawk site in Lithia, FL. The Mosaic Company is the world’s leading integrated producer of concentrated phosphate and potash, employing over 13,000 people globally to serve farmers worldwide. This role is crucial for assisting the Accounting team with daily activities, providing students with an opportunity to learn from professionals, gain experience with a global leader on exciting projects, and receive competitive pay.
The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Full time Co-Op/Internship. Typically, 36-40 hours a week.
• Location: Hybrid, FishHawk site located at 13830 Circa Crossing Drive. Lithia, FL, 33547.
• Team: Accounting team
• Mission: Assist the Accounting team in completing daily activities and executing special projects within a global organization.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Rotational Assignments: Complete rotational assignments within Corporate Accounting, covering areas such as Inventory Costing, Revenue, Reporting, Leasing, and Financial Analysis.
• Operational Tasks: Execute day-to-day work assignments that include data and cost analysis, posting journals, report writing, balance sheet reconciliations, and data management.
• Project Support: Assist with special projects as assigned and support monthly and quarterly closing responsibilities.
• Organizational Communication: Communicate effectively with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers, tradespersons, and contractors.
• Corporate Participation: Participate actively in department meetings and meetings specific to project assignments, while adhering to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles, priorities, and key competencies.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be a Junior level or above by May 2027, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a 2.75 GPA or higher.
• Experience: Must have experience working in a team environment. 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or prior work experience is preferred. Previous internship or co-op experience is also preferred.
• Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and basic computer skills are required.
• Bonus: Proficiency with visualization/reporting tools and effective verbal communication skills are considered an asset. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required for travel to and from sites/office.
