This is a full-time, paid internship at Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions, located in Plymouth, MN. Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions is an expert in specialty insurance, providing customized solutions and targeted risk control to protect businesses across more than 20 verticals. This intern role is crucial for students interested in learning from a talented Finance and Accounting team, offering the opportunity to assist various departments within the Corporate Finance division. You will gain practical experience and develop knowledge in key financial functions, contributing to the company’s purpose of helping businesses be resilient.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Development: Develop knowledge and experience in Financial Reporting, Planning & Analysis, Financial Systems, and Operational Accounting.
• Policy & Compliance: Learn and apply established accounting and reporting policies.
• Operational Support: Assist with general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and ad hoc financial production-based requests.
• External Reporting: Contribute to the production of external financial results reporting.
• Professional Networking: Engage with Accounting and Finance professionals and peers to expand your professional network.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently a college student with a background in accounting, finance, or a related technical field. Entry-Level.
• Experience: No specific years of experience required; applicants must be a college student.
• Skills: Demonstrates ability to take initiative, acts as a team player, exhibits exceptional attention to detail, and possesses strong time management skills.
