Revenue Accountant | PANGEATWO

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at PANGEATWO’s client, located in Birmingham, Alabama, with a hybrid work model. This client operates within a healthcare-focused environment, where this Revenue Accountant position is crucial for supporting essential financial analysis, revenue accounting, and general ledger operations. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing operational results, and assisting with critical month-end reporting processes, directly contributing to the integrity of financial operations. This position works to evaluate financial data, reconcile accounts, communicate results, and partners with internal stakeholders on process improvements, controls, and special projects.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Compile and review comprehensive financial reporting specifically related to facility revenue and overall operational results to provide clear insights.
• Monthly Close & Analysis: Actively participate in monthly close activities, communicating key financial findings to relevant stakeholders and analyzing fluctuations in revenue and receivable balances, summarizing these for management review.
• Ledger & Reconciliation: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring account structures are accurate and complete, and complete all account reconciliations, resolving outstanding variances in a timely and efficient manner.
• Compliance & Controls: Evaluate accounting work products for adherence to established standards and documentation requirements, supporting internal control procedures and financial reporting compliance activities.
• Process Improvement & Support: Develop reports and respond to financial information requests from business partners, while also assisting with system enhancements, testing efforts, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
• Experience: Approximately two to four years of experience in accounting, finance, or public accounting.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Access, SQL, and standard Office applications.
