The Tone:
This is a full-time professional development program at State Street, located in Boston, MA for its initial orientation. State Street is one of the world’s largest custodian banks, asset managers, and asset intelligence companies, serving institutional clients with investment servicing, data & analytics, trading, and investment management. This two-year program is crucial for developing entry-level employees into future leaders within State Street Alpha, a pioneering open platform that connects front, middle, and back-office functions to enhance client performance and outcomes. The role offers customized placements and training to build a comprehensive understanding of the business and industry, supporting the vital work of helping clients manage their businesses more effectively.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Participation: Attend intensive orientation and training in Boston, covering State Street business, financial acumen, and soft skills through case studies.
• Rotational Assignments: Engage in multiple cross-functional and cross-business job assignments designed to accelerate the development of critical industry knowledge and skills.
• Project Support: Contribute to project planning and execution, including the development of procedures and strategic rollout within various Alpha business units.
• Data Management and Analysis: Assist with operational and technology data gathering, configuration, mapping, and detailed data analysis to support business activities.
• Client & Business Support: Aid in client onboarding, implementation activities, financial analysis, modeling, reporting, and enhancements to technical and procedural infrastructure.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a similar field.
• Experience: No explicit years of experience required, as this is an entry-level program for individuals graduating in December 2025 or May 2026 for a July 2026 intake. Participants will gain firsthand experience through various placements.
• Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication, service orientation with a client focus, strong financial acumen, enthusiasm for continuous learning and career development, ability to work independently while fostering collaboration, demonstrated problem-solving ability, and capacity to communicate cross-functionally regarding technical and operational concepts.
• Bonus: Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Jira/Confluence, Power BI, Tableau, and project management skills or certification.
