Engineering Leadership Development Program – Embedded Software | BAE Systems, Inc.

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at BAE Systems, Inc., with initial placement in Sterling Heights, MI or Minneapolis, MN, as part of an Engineering Leadership Development Program. What You’ll Actually Do
• Experience: Gain diverse experience in engineering disciplines through three one-year onsite rotations with increasing responsibility.
• Education: Pursue and complete a technical Master’s Degree program during the program, supported by robust tuition assistance from BAE Systems.
• Development: Enhance leadership and technical skills through an annual week-long leadership development conference and a holistic curriculum of in-person and virtual trainings.
• Mentorship: Receive dedicated mentorship from an assigned professional who provides guidance for career development and off-program placement.
• Contribution: Apply skills across various engineering functions, including design, test/verification, production support, and systems engineering.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Software or Computer Engineering; This is an entry-level program for recent college graduates.
• Experience: Internship, Co-Op, or project experience specifically in embedded software or systems; Demonstrated collaboration and leadership abilities in academic and non-academic pursuits. Must be able to relocate at least once during the program, starting at Sterling Heights, MI or Minneapolis, MN.
• Skills: Superior communication, aptitude for problem-solving, resilience, collaboration, adaptability, and an action-oriented approach.
