Summer 2027 Audit Internship | NKSFB

The Tone:
This is an internship at NKSFB, a firm with over 650 employees operating from seven offices across the Los Angeles and New York City areas. The company is the largest business management firm in the country, offering specialized concierge-style services to top artists, athletes, executives, and entrepreneurs in music, film, and television. This audit role is critical because it ensures entertainment professionals receive compensation consistent with their agreements, making it a unique accounting function within the entertainment business. The internship provides an opportunity to kickstart a career and gain exposure to the industry from a distinct perspective.

• Mission: Verify that entertainment professionals are compensated accurately according to their agreements by analyzing contracts and financial records.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Learn how Compliance Auditors provide support to unions, guilds, studios, and other entertainment industry participants.
• Analysis: Investigate discrepancies by analyzing financial records, contracts, and supporting documentation.
• Development: Apply data analysis, research, and problem-solving skills through real-world compliance audit projects.
• Collaboration: Work with experienced compliance auditors to gain exposure to entertainment accounting, business practices, and industry agreements.
• Engagement: Participate in professional development, networking, and career-planning opportunities throughout the summer.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related business discipline, with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028. Must have completed introductory Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting coursework.
• Experience: Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, excellent organization skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well within a team.
• Bonus: On track to meet CPA licensing educational requirements upon graduation, or completion of Intermediate Accounting coursework.
