Finance Tax Intern – Summer 2027 – Dallas Regional Office | Dominium

• Mission: Provides practical experience in tax accounting and compliance for corporate, partnership, property, and state tax processes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Return Preparation: Assist with the preparation of federal, state, local, partnership, and property tax returns, including supporting schedules and workpapers.
• Information Organization: Review and organize financial and tax-related information to support compliance and reporting requirements.
• Compliance Monitoring: Support tax compliance activities by researching, tracking, and monitoring filing deadlines and regulatory requirements.
• Tax Analysis & Projects: Complete tax-related analyses, reconciliations, and special projects as assigned by Tax team members.
• Record Maintenance: Assist with maintaining accurate tax records, databases, and filing systems, and track state registration and renewal requirements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be in the process of earning a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; or have earned a bachelor’s degree in one of these fields within the previous 12 months.
• Experience: No specific years of experience required. This role involves accepting delegated assignments and working with moderate independence within a collaborative team environment.
• Skills: Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills; possesses strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities; exhibits exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial and tax information; demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines; possesses proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Bonus: Exposure to or familiarity with Power BI, Power Query, SQL, or other data analytics tools is preferred. Interest in tax accounting, tax compliance, real estate taxation, or corporate finance is preferred.
