PROFESSIONAL TALENT DEVELOPMENT READY MIX | Cemex US

The Tone:
This is a full-time, 12-month talent development program within Cemex US, with potential for U.S. nationwide relocation. Cemex US is a leader in the building materials industry, known for quality and operational excellence, delivering products and services to communities globally. This program provides driven recent graduates with hands-on experience and a comprehensive understanding of operations within the Ready-Mix division. The role is crucial for developing future talent to thrive within the company and contribute to Building a Better Future.

The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
• Ensure Safety: You will be trained in and actively participate in safety protocols to ensure compliance and exceed standards across all operations.
• Engage in Rotations: You will participate in a structured rotational program covering various aspects of Ready-Mix operations, including Safety, Plant Management & Maintenance, Fleet Maintenance, Quality Control & Project Coordination, Customer Service/Sales, Dispatch, Environmental, and Human Resources.
• Develop Skills: You will develop technical and transferable soft skills through hands-on work, dedicated training sessions, and mentorship, enhancing leadership abilities with increasing responsibilities.
• Build Networks: You will cultivate a network of contacts and resources by connecting with peers, mentors, and leaders across the company’s business lines.
• Drive Innovation: You will be encouraged to contribute fresh perspectives and innovative ideas, actively participating in the continuous improvement of Ready-Mix operations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A recent bachelor’s degree in Concrete Industry Management (CIM), Construction Science Management/Construction Management, Business Admin/Business Management, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is required. This is an entry-level program for recent graduates.
• Experience: Previous experience from internships, co-op programs, or university projects, demonstrating valuable insights into the industry, is required.
• Skills: Strong leadership qualities, analytical capabilities, presentation skills, and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving are essential.
• Bonus: A GPA of 2.5 or above is preferred, with a strong preference for those with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Willingness to relocate within the U.S. is also a plus.
