Accounts Payable Specialist | One and Only Home Care

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Vendor Invoices: Review, code, and process vendor invoices to ensure accurate and timely payments.
• Reconcile Financial Statements: Reconcile statements and proactively resolve any discrepancies to maintain precise financial records.
• Handle Expense Reports: Verify proper approvals for expense reports and ensure strict adherence to company policies and budget guidelines.
• Prepare Journal Entries: Prepare and record journal entries accurately to support financial reporting and contribute to monthly close activities.
• Support Financial Operations: Respond to vendor inquiries, resolve payment issues, and maintain organized financial records for efficient operations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Demonstrated strong understanding of Accounting and Finance principles, with specific familiarity in accounts payable processes and adherence to basic Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience: Proven experience managing expense reports and all aspects of journal entries, including precise coding, diligent posting, and thorough reconciliation practices.
• Skills:
• Solid analytical skills, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail, robust numerical accuracy, and a keen ability to identify and efficiently resolve financial discrepancies.
• Proficiency in utilizing accounting software (such as QuickBooks or similar systems) and spreadsheet applications (including Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets) for financial tasks.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, crucial for effectively managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines within a remote work setting.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, essential for collaborating productively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
• Bonus: Relevant experience in healthcare, home care, or service-based organizations is beneficial. An associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
