This position offers an opportunity to join a seasoned Finance and Accounting function, gaining broad exposure within the expanding insurance carrier. The role is critical for maintaining robust financial processes and supporting the continued growth of the business.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Close Support: Support the timely execution of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities.
• Financial Recordkeeping: Prepare accurate journal entries, account reconciliations, and necessary supporting schedules.
• Reporting Assistance: Assist with financial reporting processes and perform account analysis to ensure data integrity.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Research and resolve identified accounting discrepancies efficiently.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to strengthening existing accounting processes, controls, and reporting capabilities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; foundational knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Experience: Prior accounting experience gained in insurance, financial services, public accounting, or a similarly complex business setting.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Bonus: Demonstrated progress towards a CPA license or a keen interest in pursuing CPA certification; a motivated and inquisitive approach to learning and professional growth.
