What You’ll Actually Do
• Track Project Progress: Meticulously monitor project deliverables, milestones, action items, deadlines, dependencies, and all outstanding tasks across assigned projects.
• Manage Documentation: Organize, format, review, route, and track all project documents, reports, meeting materials, and deliverable submissions.
• Support Financial Oversight: Track project financial items, including budgets, burn rates, expenses, invoices, purchase requests, and funding information, coordinating with finance staff on discrepancies.
• Coordinate Stakeholders: Actively engage with project managers, technical staff, finance, operations, and other stakeholders to gather updates and ensure timely completion of tasks and approvals.
• Prepare Reports: Assist in the creation of comprehensive project status reports, dashboards, briefing materials, meeting notes, and action item logs for management updates.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, Communications, Information Systems, or a related field. This is an entry-level position open to recent college graduates.
• Experience: 0-2+ years of experience in project coordination, project analysis, business operations, finance support, or administrative project support. Must be able to work fully onsite in Arlington, VA.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through; excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities; strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
• Bonus: Internship or academic experience in project management, finance, or government contracting; familiarity with project tracking tools like SharePoint or Smartsheet; strong Excel skills including formulas and pivot tables; experience tracking project hours, budgets, or invoices.
