Vercel Development Representative, Startups | Vercel

The Tone:
This is a hybrid role at Vercel, located in San Francisco, CA, with in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Vercel is an agentic infrastructure company dedicated to freeing people and agents to ship what’s next. For over a decade, Vercel has shaped how the web is built, creating products like Next.js, v0, and AI SDK that help builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and an exceptional developer experience. This role is essential for connecting with engineering and product leaders at fast-growing startup companies, educating them on how Vercel can help their teams ship faster and build better web experiences, thereby defining the future of software in an era where products will be built, extended, and operated by agents.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Engagement: Identify and engage high-potential companies that could benefit from Vercel’s platform.
• Outreach: Research prospects and tailor outreach to engineering, product, and marketing leaders.
• Generation: Generate outbound opportunities through personalized outreach.
• Partnership: Partner with Account Executives to build pipeline and drive adoption in the Startups segment.
• Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success to refine messaging and improve outreach effectiveness.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Curiosity about web technologies and an interest in working directly with startup founders and early-stage teams.
• Experience: 1+ years of experience in a technical, sales, or customer support role for a technical product.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders; strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail; self-motivated with effective collaboration skills.
• Bonus: Background in computer science, web development, or a related technical field; familiarity with Vercel, Next.js, or any other technical platform; experience with Salesforce, Outreach, or similar tools; experience as an SDR or other similar relevant positions.
