The Tone:
This is a full-time, 24-month leadership development program at Perdue Farms, an international agricultural products and services company deeply rooted in tradition. Perdue is a fourth-generation, family-owned food and agricultural business. This program, beginning in June 2027, is designed to cultivate future environmental leaders who will make a lasting impact by shaping a safer, more sustainable future for the company. What You’ll Actually Do
• Foundation Building: Participate in structured rotations across environmental and operational areas to build an end-to-end understanding of facility processes and programs.
• Compliance Assurance: Learn and apply Perdue’s expectations for associate safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory requirements in daily operations.
• Environmental Support: Support daily environmental activities including inspections, sampling, monitoring, and reporting under the direction of experienced leaders.
• Improvement Initiatives: Utilize environmental data to identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to projects focused on compliance, sustainability, and waste reduction.
• Program Leadership: Take on increased responsibility for environmental programs, coordinating daily work, reinforcing compliance, and preparing for an environmental leadership assignment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, completed within 24 months of the Pathways Program start date, for an entry-level leadership development role.
• Experience: Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, demonstrating a capacity for hands-on learning and contributing to meaningful projects.
• Skills: Working knowledge of environmental compliance programs (e.g., wastewater, air quality, hazardous waste, RCRA), data application, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication.
• Bonus: Degree concentrations in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biological Science, Biology, Chemistry, Natural Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
