• Mission: To contribute to client deliverables by performing tax procedures accurately and researching tax issues under firm standards.
• Tech Stack: Excel, PowerPoint
What You’ll Actually Do
• Preparation: Prepare a variety of client tax returns, including those for Individuals, Partnerships, and Corporations.
• Analysis: Identify potential tax issues and prepare tax adjusting entries and tax trial balances based on provided financial information.
• Research: Research filing requirements and tax issues using internal revenue code, treasury regulations, and other relevant guidance.
• Management: Manage daily client workflow and handle multiple client projects simultaneously.
• Drafting: Draft tax technical memorandums as required.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, with a plan to complete 150 credit hours for CPA licensure.
• Experience: Prior work or internship experience is required, with experience in accounting being an advantage.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills, sharp critical thinking abilities, advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and an eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Bonus: Leadership positions in extracurricular activities are preferred.
