What You’ll Actually Do
• Journal Entry Management: Prepare and post journal entries, then analyze reconciliations.
• Financial Close Support: Support month-end close processes, including intercompany entries and eliminations.
• Compliance & Reporting: Maintain lease accounting in compliance with ASC 842 and assist with SEC filing support and audit preparation.
• Asset & Expense Oversight: Assist with fixed assets and depreciation schedules, conducting freight expense and SG&A analysis.
• Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls, reconciling liability, bank, and unvouchered accounts.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a senior professional with a strong foundation in accounting principles.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of SEC reporting experience in a public company, plus at least 5 years in similar accounting roles, including experience with ERP systems.
• Skills: Proficient in GAAP and internal controls, skilled in lease accounting and fixed asset management, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Bonus: Experience in audit or international accounting.
