What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain general ledgers and accurately post journal entries.
• Account Reconciliation: Perform thorough account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Tax and Regulatory Support: Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other essential regulatory filings.
• Client Communication & Improvement: Communicate with clients regarding documentation, respond to accounting inquiries, and contribute to process enhancements within the firm.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP.
• Experience: Proficiency in general ledger maintenance, financial statement preparation, and performing account reconciliations.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency with accounting software and Excel, a solid understanding of tax concepts, excellent organizational and time-management skills, and clear communication abilities.
• Bonus: Prior experience in public accounting or a relevant accounting role, particularly within a small firm or client-service setting.
