The Tone:

• Team: HP Global Strategy & Transformation function, reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Strategy
• Mission: Drive the company’s strategic direction to ensure it remains competitive and adaptable in a rapidly changing business landscape.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategy & Narrative Development: Lead the creation of strategic frameworks and executive-ready narratives that simplify complex technology spaces into compelling storylines.
• Business Planning & Investment: Build data-driven long-term business plans that articulate opportunity size, economics, monetization models, costs, and risks.
• Driving Thought Leadership: Consult with business executives on a wide range of issues related to the strategy formulation process, including risk management and new growth opportunities.
• Cross-Functional Influence: Collaborate with GBU leaders and Product teams to align opportunity framing with HP’s technology roadmap and capability strengths.
• Alignment & Accountability: Develop robust business models and forecasts on where to play and how to win over 1-to-5-year horizons with recommendations on de-risked operational plans.

The Must-Haves
• Background: 7-10 years in strategy, corporate development, management consulting, or product strategy roles, with hands-on business strategy experience required.
• Experience: Demonstrated track record of building business plans, TAM analyses, investment theses, executive narratives, and crafting high-quality C-suite presentations and strategic recommendations in emerging technology domains.
• Skills:
• Structured problem solver with exceptional ability to break down ambiguous problems into crisp frameworks.
• Fluency in market analysis, including TAM, segmentation, competitive dynamics, and value chain analysis.
• Strong business model analysis covering pricing, unit economics, monetization pathways, and growth levers.
• Outstanding ability to build simple, clean, logical storylines that influence senior audiences.
• Strong slide-making and visualization skills, including pyramid communication, frameworks, and heat maps.
• Bonus: MBA strongly preferred, with an advanced technical or business degree being a plus.
