• Mission: Ensure accurate and timely financial statements for clients by developing and maintaining robust accounting principles, practices, and procedures.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Accounting Management: Provide monthly recurring accounting services to clients, developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
• Full-Cycle Accounting: Execute all full-cycle accounting activities, including comprehensive month-end close, accurate journal entries, precise reconciliations, necessary accruals, and detailed variance analysis.
• Transaction Processing: Manage daily financial transactions by reviewing vendor invoices for correct accounting recording, meticulously recording bank account and credit card activities to the appropriate general ledger accounts, and processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present monthly financial statements, including the Comparative Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow, along with other specialized financial reports and analyses tailored to management needs.
• Audit & Project Support: Assist with payroll management through providers like ADP or Gusto, prepare payroll entries and monthly accruals, and contribute to special projects such as accounting records cleanup, budget development, forecasts, and the preparation of schedules for external auditors and tax CPAs.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A solid understanding and ability to develop and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures that ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements for diverse clients.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in executing full-cycle accounting activities, which encompasses month-end close processes, preparing journal entries, performing various reconciliations, and conducting variance analysis.
• Skills: Proficiency in preparing monthly financial statements (Comparative Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) and other management reports. Capability in managing bank and credit card transactions, processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, and assisting with payroll administration using systems like ADP or Gusto.
