Clean Energy Rotation Program (Entry-Level) | Renewable Careers

The Tone:
This is a full-time rotational role at Renewable Careers, located in Austin, TX (hybrid). We develop, build, own, and operate utility-scale solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects across the United States. This program is designed to develop early-career professionals who will help lead the growth in the clean energy market, particularly in Texas, by providing a comprehensive understanding of the business.

The TL;DR

• Type: Full-time | Two-year rotational program
• Location: Hybrid Austin, TX
• Pay: $65000–$85000 yearly
• Mission: This person will learn the entire clean energy business through three eight-month rotations before specializing in a core function.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Contribute: Join each team as a full contributor, with real deliverables and ownership from day one.
• Support Projects: Support live projects through analysis, modeling, applications, technical reviews, and site visits across Texas and beyond.
• Present Findings: Present your work to senior leadership at the end of every rotation.
• Learn Directly: Learn directly from experienced developers, engineers, and financiers, with a dedicated mentor throughout the program.
• Develop Fluency: Build the cross-functional fluency that moves careers forward fast in this industry.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, economics, finance, business, or a related field. Entry-Level career.
• Experience: No prior energy experience is required. A demonstrated interest in clean energy and the transition to a decarbonized grid. Authorization to work in the United States.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills and comfort with data, spreadsheets, and picking up new tools; Clear communication and the confidence to work across every part of a business; Adaptability to new teams, new problems, and steep learning curves.
