Junior Accountant | 1st Network Solutions

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Junior Accountant located in Alpharetta, GA, supporting a client of 1st Network Solutions. The client’s team aims to maintain precise financial records and streamline accounting processes. This role is pivotal for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial operations across accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end close, directly contributing to the company’s financial health. What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Receivable & Collections: Generate and distribute customer invoices, monitor accounts receivable aging, and conduct professional collection activities.
• Payment & Discrepancy Resolution: Apply customer payments received via various methods, research and resolve billing discrepancies, and address payment issues.
• Accounting Operations & Reconciliation: Prepare journal entries, reconcile customer accounts, bank transactions, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Month-End & Financial Reporting: Assist with monthly and year-end close activities, support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Audit & Process Compliance: Support internal and external audit requests, ensure compliance with accounting policies, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, demonstrating a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Experience: 0–2 years of accounting or accounts receivable experience; relevant internships or entry-level roles in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or billing are preferred.
• Skills: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, strong organizational and time-management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to analyze financial information and reconcile discrepancies.
• Bonus: Proven ability to accurately and timely process customer invoices and payments, reduce aged receivables and collection issues, achieve accurate account reconciliations, foster effective collaboration across teams, and contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes.
