Junior Accountant | BAMM Staffing

This is a full-time, onsite role at BAMM Staffing, located in Edison, NJ, requiring five days per week in the office. The Junior Accountant is integral to the finance team, providing essential support that ensures the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records and contributes directly to the efficiency of overall financial operations.

• Mission: This individual will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial data by meticulously assisting with daily accounting tasks, performing critical reconciliations, and supporting the timely preparation of financial reports.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar accounting software
What You’ll Actually Do
• Processing: Process daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely for proper financial flow.
• Reconciling: Perform comprehensive account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies to support precise month-end closing activities.
• Maintaining: Maintain accurate general ledger entries, meticulously organizing and preserving all supporting documentation to ensure audit readiness and financial transparency.
• Supporting: Support the creation and review of journal entries, manage the processing of employee expense reports, and facilitate clear communications with both vendors and customers regarding financial matters.
• Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of various financial reports and schedules as needed, assisting the finance team in providing clear insights into the company’s financial health.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional aiming to develop fundamental accounting skills within a supportive team.
• Experience: Relevant experience in an accounting function is required. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for this role, enabling effective data analysis and reporting.
• Skills: Possess strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, the capability to work effectively independently, and the ability to skillfully manage multiple priorities concurrently to meet deadlines.
• Bonus: Prior experience utilizing accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks, SAP, or other similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a distinct advantage.
