The Tone:
This is a temporary internship at Mediobanca, located in Milan. Mediobanca is Italy’s leading investment bank, providing premier advisory services and a complete range of credit solutions to Italian and international businesses. This role is fundamental to maintaining the bank’s integrity and compliance, as it supports the essential processes of Know Your Customer (KYC) profiling and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) for clients, ensuring data accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards within post-trading static data operations.

• Mission: To support and ensure proper client profiling, documentation completeness, and data quality control within post-trading static data operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support client profiling: Support and ensure the proper Know Your Customer profiling (Due Diligence / Anti-Money Laundering process) for Private clients and the settlors of the subsidiary Spafid.
• Review documentation: Check and review all documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Follow up on deficiencies: Follow up closely on outstanding documentation or any documentation deficiencies to ensure account opening documentation are submitted accurately and timely.
• Manage data quality: Manage Data Quality Control Post-Onboarding.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Knowledge in the banking sector and interest in finance.
• Experience: Foundational understanding of the banking sector and a keen interest in finance.
• Skills: Relational skills, team working skills, problem solving skills, excellent Microsoft Office proficiency, excellent Excel proficiency.
