The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Apogem Capital, operating within the New York Life Investment Management platform of companies, with alternate locations in Richmond, VA, or New York, NY. Apogem Capital is a leading private markets solutions provider that partners with institutional investors to deliver disciplined underwriting, strategic capital deployment, and long-term value creation. This role is vital for serving the needs of existing and prospective clients by creating, updating, and distributing essential marketing and investment reporting materials.

• Mission: Responsible for creating, updating, and distributing marketing and investment reporting materials, and responding to custom client requests to support Apogem Capital’s client base.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM system, workflow monitoring system.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Communications: Quickly and accurately respond to requests from external constituents, including clients, consultants, placement agents, and prospective clients, requiring data-related information and written material on Apogem Capital and its investment products, with an initial focus on private credit capabilities.
• Material Development & Maintenance: Update and maintain a comprehensive repository of presentations, data, charts, graphics, and written responses for various marketing needs, ensuring all quarterly marketing materials and investor presentations are current.
• Presentation Preparation: Prepare custom presentations for a range of important meetings, including client update meetings, annual general meetings, and advisory committee meetings.
• RFP/RFI Completion: Complete Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) for clients and prospects, leveraging existing materials and synthesizing knowledge of the firm, its strategies, and competitive positioning with information about private markets trends to create compelling submissions.
• Data and Workflow Management: Work within the CRM system to maintain and improve client data and information, track client deliverables and other projects through a workflow monitoring system, and keep online consultant and third-party databases and Apogem’s data room for prospective investors up to date with firm and investment information.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Four-year college degree in a related field.
• Experience: One to four years’ experience, preferably within the investment industry.
• Skills: Robust analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to multi-task and proactively manage time and workload efficiently; strong work ethic and attention to detail; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Bonus: Solid understanding of investment management and private markets; strong marketing intelligence.
