Management Trainee | Land O’Frost
The Tone:
This is an Early Career Management Trainee program at Land O’Frost, a recognized producer of lunchmeat and specialty sausage products. This role is designed to cultivate the next generation of leaders by building a strong foundation in operations and developing essential technical and leadership skills. The program focuses on critical areas such as production, food safety, and quality, which are vital to the company’s sustained success. Participants will gain real-world experience and make meaningful contributions while growing into leadership roles.

• Mission: Develop future leaders to address critical challenges in production, food safety, and quality within operations.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Participate: Engage in an 18–24-month structured program consisting of up to four to six-month rotations.
• Develop: Build leadership and functional skills through challenging rotational assignments and world-class training experiences.
• Contribute: Engage in typical Operations Track rotations, including required assignments in Food Safety, Quality, and Production.
• Expand: Complete a fourth rotation selected from Supply Chain, Engineering, Research & Development, Environmental Health & Safety, or Continuous Improvement.
• Present: Complete a learning project and deliver a presentation at the end of each rotation period.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Food Science, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, Research & Development, Environmental Health & Safety, or Continuous Improvement, or related fields.
• Experience: Willingness to complete an 18–24-month program.
• Skills: Ability and willingness to travel and reside in assigned business unit locations (Lansing, IL, Searcy, AR, and Madisonville, KY); Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Bonus: Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in Operations track fields.
